Last year Robert Greenwald caused quite the stir with /Wal-Mart: The
High Cost of Low Price/. His follow-up film, /Iraq for Sale: The War
Profiteers/ will now launch the brand new *Get Informed!* film series at
the Plaza Theatre in Calgary on Wednesday, October 11 @ 7:00 PM.
Admission is by donation, so anyone can feel free to come and pay what
they can.

/Iraq for Sale/ takes you inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers,
widows and children who have been changed forever as a result of
profiteering in the reconstruction of Iraq. The documentary uncovers the
connections between private corporations making a killing in Iraq and
the decision makers who allow them to do so.

*About Get Informed!*
At the Plaza, we believe that film has the power to help people take
action. But before anyone takes action they should become informed.
Often the mass media we find on TV, in the newspapers and in magazines
comes at the world from a bias they we don't always notice. So we're
hoping this monthly series of films will help make informed choices
about the world around them. Yes, some of these films might be biased
themselves, but by simply challenging the status quo, they can get us
thinking. Thinking leads to dialogue, dialogue to action. /So Get Informed!/

Each month the Plaza will host a film on a different topic relevant to
what's happening in our world. Admission will be by donation so that
anyone can feel welcome.
