The Worlds Hottest Commercials without the worlds worst TV

The WORLDS HOTTEST COMMERCIALS set to screen

April 14 to April 27 at Edmontons historic Garneau Theatre

The Edmonton International Film Festival (September 29 to October 7, 2021) is presenting a theatrical screening of the best TV commercials from around the world.   And if the lure of wall-to-wall, 30-second, propagandist films isnt enough a portion of every ticket sold goes to help support the 20th Edmonton International Film Festival.

Direct from the Clio Awards in Miami, Florida, the Worlds Hottest Commercials is 90-minutes of the Bronze, Silver and Gold television award winners.

Kerrie Long, General Manager of EIFF, attends the Clio Awards in Miami each year as a producer with local commercial film company Frame 30 Productions.  The 2005 Clio Award winning television ads are as strong as ever.  Its always great fun to see creative work from other parts of the world and meet the people who turn 30-seconds of airtime into compelling, watch able entertainment.  We are proud to be working again with the Clio Awards team and their partners in Canada, ihaveanidea, and offering Edmontonians a small taste of the art of commercial filmmaking.  For the first time this year, were putting a little of the film festival experience into the mix with an Opening Night Gala of the Worlds Hottest Commercials also a fundraiser event for EIFF.

Opening Night Gala is Thursday, April 13th at Garneau Theatre.  Advance tickets to Opening Night are $20 and available online at http://www.edmontonfilmfest.com/ or at Princess and Garneau Theatres.   Doors open at 5:30.  Complimentary drinx and nibblies.  Film rolls at 7.

Regular screenings run at 7 & 9 each night from April 14th to 27th with 2 p.m. matinees on weekends and statutory holidays.  For ticket prices, go to http://www.magiclanterntheatres.ca/ and click on Garneau.
