Head
of Finance
Ellis
Entertainment is seeking a Head of Finance. Working closely with the senior
management team the successful candidate will be responsible for accounting and
financial reporting for its distribution and production enterprises. The Head of
Finance will play a key role in defining financial policies and procedures to
ensure the company�s continued growth and success both as an international
distributor and as a producer of world class, international programming spanning
multiple genres including wildlife, lifestyle, faith and spirituality, history,
and science.
Requirements and
Responsibilities:
�
University
degree and professional accounting designation � CA/CGA/CMA or equivalent
experience.
�
Minimum
three years post-qualification, progressive experience, with significant
financial responsibility.
�
Short
and long-term corporate financial planning.
�
Development,
implementation and maintenance of sound accounting systems, practices and
procedures including budgeting and cash-flow planning and
management.
�
Ability
to work collaboratively in a supervisory capacity to meet multiple internally
and externally imposed deadlines
�
Oversight
of all financing, insurance and government (e.g. CRA / MoF) matters, including
ability to liaise and manage relationships with bankers, external accountants
and government agencies.
�
Preparation
of financial statements and related production tax filings.
�
Knowledge
of international co-productions, federal and provincial tax credits and
application processes.
