Changes to WIFTA Membership
April begins a new chapter for WIFTA as we launch our membership renewal and recruitment drive. The Membership Committee (comprised of Elise Graham, Bonnie Thompson, and Jill Roberts) have established some exciting changes for the 2019 intake.
- Current members of WIFTA will be charged a reduced price of their annual fee as an incentive to maintain an active status.
- Student rates have increased, but remain accessible for those currently enrolled in post-secondary courses related to the screen industries (must be 18+).
- WIFTA now recognizes a completed 2 year (or more) post-secondary degree/diploma in the screen industries as the professional experience, allowing new graduates to become active members of WIFTA.
Our Membership Committee is dedicated to providing added value to our members this year, including regular networking events (across Alberta), launching a new film festival, a big announcement on a communications initiative, and upcoming screen industry master classes. This will be the most exciting year for WIFTA yet, and you don’t want to miss out!
