Teen Film Camp Level 2

I’ve attached a brochure I’m hoping you will forward to your membership or post on your website.  Teen film makers and video game designers are invited to spend a week (or 2!) at Red Deer College this summer.   We’re offering unique, hands- on workshops that will teach young film makers how to produce, direct, shoot, write, act and edit their own short movies.  In our Teen Film Camp Level 2 – students take the skills they learned in week 1 of camp and apply them to a professionally built film set on our sound stage.

Our Game Design camp gives students the opportunity to work with programmers and artists to develop a playable video game.  Writing and designing games using great software as well as story, character development, production, strategy, level designs, animation and mobile gaming will be included.  Because of the popularity of our week 1 Game Design camp last summer, we developed a Game Design camp week 2 where students can “level up” and take everything they learned in their first week and expand on skills in story and character development, scripts, graphics and animations all with new software.

Professional instructors from the Alberta Film industry as well as Game Designers and will guide and mentor students through the process of telling their stories.  These camps are an important stepping stone to our future film makers and game designers.

Register today for the RDC Video Game Design camps or for our Teen Film Camps – www.rdc.ab.ca/summercamps. I would be happy to mail you additional brochures if you will provide me with your mailing address.  Thank you for your assistance in spreading the word about our film and game design camps.
